POTATO WAFERS IN MICROWAVE

March 20, 2007 · 23 Comments

The other day when I was in a newly opened super market I found this to make potato wafers. I thought I will show it to you all. The chips fit into the gaps provided, don’t stick to the stand :)

must be such a breeze in the m/c.
i love to know more about such gadgets, please keep such posts coming.
    thanks.

Yes it does not take much time but you need to monitor and be very vigilant.Initially I m/c on high for 4 minutes, one minute at a time. then timed it for 30 sec 3-4 times. Check the crispness , don’t let them burn :)

Thats cool!! what is it called?
will try to shop for it.

It is a plastic stand which is microwave safe . Actually before I found this I used to place the chips on the outer edge of a plate. But then you can’t line up so many, the way you can in this stand :)
    Thanks for stopping by :)

Sharmi I can’t give comments on your blog because I am from wordpress. The comment section says only Google/Blogger can give comments :)

what is that? never seen something like this before… care to parcel me one?;)

It is just a plastic(microwave safe ) stand in which you can put the raw potato chips in the gaps provided. Then place the whole thing in microwave . Microwave on high for 4-5 minute 1 minute at a time. Then reduced the time to 30 sec for further 3-4 times . Check the crispness and stop cooking.
Are you serious, do you want me to ship it at your home town in India or to you in England ?Let me know :)

The chips are healthy but taste wise they taste like dehydrated potatoes. I am working on them to make them more tasty. If I succeed I will give an update on it :)

Where have I been? I’ve never this kind of utensils before. Very neat! And the potato chips look tasty too. Maybe they should start selling the tool to my region.
